August Adventures in STL

For Norah and Garet's first adventure together, we went to the Zoo.  She loved the monkeys and wanted to go see them a second time.

She was able to to pet and brush some goats in the children's section.

She even managed to find some books to read.

She also loved that the zoo had a splash pad to play in.  Those are a definite must in this heat.

For our next adventure, we went to Tillis Park.

And like a good dad, I forgot to pack dry clothes.  She was not amused.

We also fed a duck and some fish at Forest Park.

July!

July is our last month here in Virginia. Norah is certainly enjoying the nice weather and all the room we have to play!

Next time you hear from us, we will most likely be in St Louis, MO!

Double Kazoos!

Enjoying a bag-piper on the Fourth of July with Daddy

So patriotic!
We have gone to the fountain sooo many times this summer. Norah loves every minute of it.
Summer corn on the cob. She eats every last bit!
"Picked" a flower (from an arrangement leftover at church).
Schwanns Ice Cream Sundae Cones. Someone in the congregation remembered Garet loved Schwanns.
Slightly messy.
Garet and I took a birthday trip into DC. Had to say hi to the president.
All ready to move!
Sarah showing Norah the water.
Mac and Cheese lover.
Almost all of our belongings in a shipping container to be sent to St Louis!

Norah absolutely LOVES tunnels.
She found out that she likes the sandbox... I couldn't distract her away from it if I wanted to.
She is NOT a fan of swinging. This time she lasted almost a minute.
She decided to try the BIG slide.
Sometimes, she just doesn't want to let go!

Vacation to Williamsburg

The Ellis Family headed to Williamsburg, Virginia for a short vacation. It all began with some barbecue in Richmond and a stop to see animals at MayMont.

Norah loved the goats. Especially the baby.

Norah's FIRST time in a big pool.
She was a natural. She went under and tried to swim with Daddy.
Morning milk.
Loving a relaxing morning with Daddy on the balcony.
Yorktown beach.
Trying to convince her the water was fun.
She learned to LOVE it.
She didn't want to leave.
Ride on the trolley
"Bike!"
Family Photo in Yorktown
Love the face.
Bus ride to Colonial Williamsburg
She wasn't a fan of the tour of the Governor's Palace. The workers tried so hard to keep her happy.
Colonial Style Dinner. Music made her happy.
Just a walk in front of the Governor's Palace.
She turned into a tour guide...
Norah's favorite part of Colonial Williamsburg... the dolls
There is more in here!
She REALLY didn't want to leave the dolls
Astronomical Pancake House- french toast deep fried in pancake batter with cinnamon sugar and frosting
Bacon Pancakes. Definitely "astronomical" sized
Norah kept entertained in the car.
